Ingredients:
Raw Mango - 2, grated
Methi seeds - 1tbsp
Dhaniya seeds - 2 tbsp
Red Chillies - 8-10
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
jaggery - 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
1. In very little hot oil, fry methi seeds, dhaniya seeds and red chillies
2. Add mustard seeds, jaggery, salt and haldi.
3. Grind the above mixture in coffee grinder.
4. Add this powder to the grated mango, and grind in mixie.
5. Give tadka with mustard seeds, red chillies and hing.
For long lasting freshness, cook the above chutney on flame for 2 - 3 minutes, till it gets hot. Cool and refrigerate / freeze.
This chutney is majorly used to make "Mavinkaayi Chitra anna" one of the most famous south indian delicacies. Not exactl;y my favourite though :). But have fun, for those who like it!!
