This a typical maharashtrian recipe that I learnt from one of my friends' mom. She had come over to Pittsburgh for a visit, and I just had to learn this one from her!! This chutney is full of protein (from groundnuts) and goes very well with almost anything; dosa, idli, even upma or chapathi. Try it. :)
Ingredients:
Groundnuts - 1 cup
Jeera - 2 tsp
Green Chilli - 4-5
Garlic - 4-5 cloves (For ppl who dont like garlic, u might as well skip it)
Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 3/4 cup
Tamarind paste - 2tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
In a kadai, dry roast all of the above except tamarind and salt till the groundnut leaves an aroma. Take off from flame, and let it cool. Then grind the mixture with tamarind paste and salt. Anddddddddddddd ur done!!! :)
